This 14 Days Kenya and Uganda Safari begins in Nairobi, Kenya and sets out to Amboseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara national parks. The final part of the trip is a four-day tour to the spectacular Bwindi National park among other scenic sights.
In Kenya accomodations will be in Serena lodges in Amboseli, Masai Mara, Olpejeta,
Lake Nakuru accommodation will be in Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.
Nairobi accommodation will be in Intercontinental Hotel.
Day 1: Airport – Nairobi
Pick up from the airport and you will be taken to your hotel in Nairobi Intercontinental Hotel for overnight stay as you prepare for the next day safari start.
DAY 2 – NAIROBI – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we’ll depart from Nairobi for Amboseli National Park. Most famous for its stunning views of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the park offers photographers the rare opportunity to snap photos of elephants, lions, zebras, and giraffes against the startling backdrop of Africa’s most famous mountain.
You’ll have lunch at your lodge upon arrival before heading out into the park for an afternoon game-drive.
DAY 3 – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Wake before the dawn for an unforgettable sunrise game drive within the park. Kilimanjaro never looks quite as beautiful as she does first thing in the morning, and you’ll also get to see predators such as leopards, lions, and cheetahs out on the prowl in the cooler morning air.
They don’t call Amboseli the Royal Court of Kilimanjaro for nothing, and as you take in its large elephant herds and the stunning panorama of Mt. Kilimanjaro, you’ll see why this is one of Kenya’s most beloved pars.
After your morning game drive and a late breakfast, relax at the lodge for a few hours before heading out into the park again in the afternoon. With the animals largely inactive during the warm midday hours, you can get some rest before catching them out and about in the cooling afternoon air.
DAY 4 – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK – OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
With a picnic lunch in hand, you’ll depart from Amboseli after an early breakfast for the drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, sometimes known as Sweet Waters.
Your drive not only takes you back through bustling Nairobi and then through the beautiful farm country of Kiyuku, but brings you to the very foothills of Mt. Kenya – Kenya’s highest mountain.
After arriving at Ol Pajeta, you’ll pay a visit to the park’s famous chimpanzee sanctuary to meet its adopted residents and then head out into the park proper for an evening game drive.
DAY 5 – OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
You’ll depart for Lake Nakuru after breakfast. Once famous for its flamingos, the park’s resident birds have since moved on. Not to worry! There’s still plenty to be seen in this beautiful lakeside park, including troops of baboons, large herds of buffalo, and both black and white rhinoceros.
You’ll arrive at the park in time for lunch in your lodge, and then enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.
DAY 6 – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK – MAASAI MARA
You’ll depart from Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast for the drive south to Kenya’s most famous park, the Masai Mara.
You’ll pass through the famous Great Rift Valley on your way as well as passing through the Masai town of Narok. Arriving in the park in time for lunch at your lodge, you’ll then head out into the park for an afternoon game drive in search of lazy lions, tree-climbing leopards, majestic elephants, and more.
DAY 7 – MAASAI MARA
Wake with the dawn to witness a sunrise out on the Masai Mara. As the sun sets fire to the savannah, you’ll have the chance to watch predators such as leopards and lions out on the hunt while the air is still cool.
After a late breakfast, you’ll have the choice to either relax at your lodge until lunch and then head out into the park or take a picnic lunch and head out into the park for a day of discovery as you track the movements of the Wildebeest Migration (seasonal) or go in search of the Big Five.
DAY 8 – MAASAI MARA
Since the movements of the Wildebeest Migration can be unpredictable, we’ve budgeted for an extra day here in the Maasai Mara to increase your chances of witnessing the famous river crossing.
Each year the entire herd must attempt the treacherous crossing of the Mara River, where they contend not only with strong currents, but also with the always hungry Nile crocodiles who call the river home. It takes a lot of patience and more than a little luck, but witnessing the dramatic river crossing is a bucket list worthy item.
DAY 9 – MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI
Early morning breakfast at your lodge then depart for Nairobi with enroute game drive in Masai mara. Lunch will be in Narok, then prceed to Nairobi for a short excursion at the giraffe centre and have fun while feeding the giraffes. Dinner and overnight at the Intercontinental Hotel
DAY 10: NAIROBI TO ENTEBBE – KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Pick up from either hotel or from airport and be ready for a 6 hours drive to Kibale forest national park – the journey that will take approximately six hours. On arrival late dinner will be served at the lodge, with its scenic view of the forest, of Kibale national park. Dinner and overnight at primate Lodge.
Day 11: Chimps Tracking – Bigodi Swamp Tour

After this phenomenal wildlife experience, return to your vehicle on the edge of the forest, returning to primate lodge for lunch. Take an afternoon swamp walk in Bigodi swamp sanctuary to sight some birds and other primates. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge
